National Inventor's Day
by Angela Hill
Students in Ms. Elliott's music classes spent some time learning about what is involved in creating an invention. National Inventor's Day, which is held on February 11, was first recognized by President Ronald Reagan in 1983. The date is significant because it is Thomas Edison's birthday. As we all know, Edison is probably the most famous inventor in United States history. Students had a great time creating their instruments and playing them for their classes. Who knows, we may have the next Thomas Edison right here at Lonedell!
