District Collects Pull Tabs and Aluminum
In an effort to keep our planet a little healthier and to help out others, students at Lonedell take part in collecting aluminum cans. These cans are recycled, saving them from a long deterioration in a land fill.
When collected, pull tabs are pulled from the cans. These tabs are collected separately and provided to Children's Hospital. They are then given to the Ronald McDonald House. The McDonald House recycles them and uses the money to pay for electric, heat, transportation, household needs, and anything else they may need.
Thanks to our 6th grade volunteers who collect and pull the tabs to help others! Pictured are Emily B., Gabi J., and Jackie A.
